Thursday, January 12, 2012: We wrote the CCT Test today, then reviewed independently for the exam. Previously, this site showed: "CCT: Here is a handout of questions that relate to various parts of the coursework: . On Thursday, January 12, you will write a test that comprises THREE of these problems. Be able to answer each of the questions in this booklet in a test scenario. I may change the NUMBERS in each question, but not the wording of the question itself."

Wednesday, January 11, 2012: We reviewed parts of Chapter 5, and worked on one of the CCT problems. Tomorrow, students who are present will be asked to write the CCT test.

Tuesday, January 10, 2012: We reviewed parts of Chapter 4, Trigonometric Functions, and began some of the CCT problems.

Monday, January 9, 2012: We reviewed the end of Chapter 2 and began Chapter 3, exponential functions.

Monday, December 5, 2011: We took up the quiz and the assignment - the Window of Opportunity closed today for that. Tomorrow, we write the Unit 5 Test.

Friday, December 2, 2011: We wrote a quiz in preparation for Tuesday's Unit Test.

Thursday, December 1, 2011: We continued to work on the assigments. Students who were done were asked to work on a few recommended review questions from the textbook: Page 346 #4-8, 9a-d, 10, 11, 12ab, 13, 14ab + Page 348 #15, 16, 17ab. I want to have a quiz that does not count for marks tomorrow, to give students an idea of how well they might perform on Tuesday's test. It will be marked by, and taken up on, Monday. Reminder: The assignment is due tomorrow, and the Window of opportunity closes on Monday.

Tuesday, November 29, 2011: We learned to graph real data and determine an equation for it. We agreed that the unit test for this will be written on Tuesday, December 6. I will be giving out an assignment tomorrow, which will be due on Friday (Window: Monday). Friday, we will write a quiz about this content which will be taken up on Monday. Today's Homework: the back of the handout from today.

Monday, November 28, 2011: We took up the test and learned how to convert from an equation for sin to an equation for cos. Homework:

Friday, November 25, 2011: We learned how to create the equations of trigonometric functions. Homework: The back of the sheet handed out in class.

Thursday, November 24, 2011: We continued to learn how to graph y = sin x and y = cos x equations. Homework:

Thursday, October 27, 2011: We worked on the assignment. It is due on Monday, and the window of opportunity closes on Tuesday. If you hand it in on Monday, it will be marked that night and included on your interim report card. Remember: Quiz (not for-marks) tomorrow on exponential functions.

Thursday, October 13, 2011: We wrote the Unit 1 Test. Students who were absent for the test are asked to write it on Monday morning (You can arrive as early as 8:15 if you think you will need that much time. We can not allow you to write past 9:55 AM, so be sure you give yourself enough time). No homework.

Tuesday, October 11, 2011: Today we worked on the assignment and some textbook work. If you want practice with simplifying rational expressions, try Page 94 #(3-6)ac,8,9. This is not "homework" though. Practice test, which we will work on tomorrow in class: . Reminder: Test Thursday!

Friday, October 7, 2011: We learned how to simplify rational expressions. The assignment is due on Tuesday (You don't have to do Question 10, which I wanted to cover but did not get a chance to). The window of Opportunity is open until Wednesday. The Unit 2 Test is Thursday.

Thursday, October 6, 2011: We got an assignment today, and had a work period for it. It is due Tuesday, with a Window of Opportunity open until Wednesday. If you hand it in on Tuesday, I guarantee it will be marked by Wednesday, so you can use it to study for the Unit 2 test, which will be on Thursday. Assignment:

Wednesday, October 5, 2011: We took up yesterday's quiz. We learned how to determine the equation of reciprocal functions and square root functions from their graphs. Homework: #5 (six parts) from the reciprocal handout and the back of the square root handout.

September 14, 2011: We reviewed factoring of quadratic equations. Homework: Complete the first 12 questions on the sheet given out. Don't forget there is a quiz tomorrow that will NOT count towards your final mark, but will be marked, about: sketching parabolas; determining if something is a function; and using function notation (f(x)).
